Fuel gauge fixed

Postby Carlyboy » 05 May 2014, 11:30

When I bought my bike recently the fuel gauge wasn't working. Worked out that the actual gauge was OK so on removing the tank found out that there wasn't a fuel sender inside the tank at all. The tank had been re-painted and possibly rust treated inside but instead of just removing the sender someone cut it off.

Anyway, I bought one from a wreckers and that didn't work so It's going back to them and bought another one elsewhere, fitted it and all is good. It works well and seems to be accurate.

Even though the GR650 has both main and reserve tanks, it's so much better to have a working gauge.

One more thing fixed and a few more to go to get "Suzy" ship shape.
