Sprocket carrier bearing

Postby Carlyboy » 06 Jun 2017, 04:16

I've got my wheels off and will be replacing the bearings In the workshop manual, it says that you need a special Suzuki bearing tool to remove the bearing from the sprocket carrier. Is this correct - or does it just get knocked out is usually done? Access to this bearing looks a lot easier than the wheel bearings.

Has anyone changed their bearing on the sprocket carrier and what was your experience?

If i remember correctly the bearing just pops out like a normal bearing, i used a slide hammer to get it out.
Dont remember quite if there is enought space behind to hammer it out.

Thanks. I'll have a go at it this weekend. It has a seal over the bearing which I'll remove and replace. It looks like the bearing is easy to get to. Will advise.

All is good. It came out like a regular bearing and I put a new one in.
